These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern use of Google Sheets Sidebar (the “Add-on”), a free educational resource published by Kevin Cassidy under the name Kevin's Teacher Tech (“we,” “us,” or “our”).
By installing or using the Add-on, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Add-on.
The Add-on provides spreadsheet convenience features, including extending cell selections, inserting formulas, and copying values between matching rows and column headers in sheets (tabs) within the current Google spreadsheet.
The Add-on is provided free of charge. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of it and do not promise that every feature will remain available.
You must be legally able to agree to these Terms and must have permission to use the Add-on with the relevant Google account and spreadsheets.
If you use the Add-on for a school, employer, or other organization, you represent that you are authorized to do so and are responsible for following that organization’s rules.
You are responsible for:
Reviewing source and destination sheets before running an update
Confirming that names, row order, and column headers produce the intended matches
Reviewing duplicate-name and unmatched-row warnings
Maintaining appropriate backups or version history
Verifying formulas, grades, and other results before relying on them
Protecting student and other confidential information
Complying with applicable laws, contracts, school policies, and Google terms
Repeated names are matched by occurrence order. For example, the first occurrence of a repeated name in the destination is paired with the first occurrence in the source. You must confirm that roster order is consistent before accepting those updates.
You may not use the Add-on to violate law, infringe another person’s rights, gain unauthorized access, disrupt services, distribute malicious content, or process information you are not permitted to access.
You may not misrepresent the Add-on as an official Google product.
The Add-on depends on Google Sheets, Google Apps Script, Google authorization, and related Google services.
Google is not responsible for the Add-on, and Kevin's Teacher Tech does not control the availability or operation of Google’s services.

describes the information the Add-on accesses and how it is used. The Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
The Add-on is a productivity tool. Its formulas, matching results, and outputs do not constitute educational, legal, compliance, accounting, or other professional advice.
You remain responsible for decisions based on spreadsheet content.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE ADD-ON IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, MERCHANTABILITY, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR UNINTERRUPTED AVAILABILITY.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, KEVIN CASSIDY AND KEVIN'S TEACHER TECH WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST DATA, LOST PROFITS, LOST EDUCATIONAL RECORDS, OR INCORRECT SPREADSHEET RESULTS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO USE OF THE ADD-ON.
TO THE EXTENT LIABILITY CANNOT BE EXCLUDED, TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING FROM THE ADD-ON WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE ADD-ON IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR TEN U.S. DOLLARS (US $10).
Because the Add-on is currently free, the amount paid will ordinarily be zero. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to defend and indemnify Kevin Cassidy and Kevin's Teacher Tech against claims, losses, and expenses arising from your unlawful use of the Add-on, your violation of these Terms, or your handling of information without required authorization.
This provision does not apply where prohibited by law.
We may update these Terms when the Add-on or applicable requirements change. The published Terms will show their effective date.
Continued use after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
You may stop using and uninstall the Add-on at any time.
We may restrict access for misuse, legal requirements, security risks, or discontinuation of the Add-on. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
These Terms are governed by the laws of California, United States of America, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
Any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you remain unaffected.
