If you have a master tab with a roster of students, student ids, period numbers, grades for multiple quizzes and tests, but want to regroup the data to look at certain standards, simply name the columns the same name as they are in the master spreadsheet, then use the sidebar buttons.
This allows you to group topics or sections together for easier viewing. This can help you leave your master sheet intact while you add formulas or manipulate the data. Full video here.
