These Terms of Service govern your use of Quiz Processing System, a free, open-source desktop application provided through Kevin's Teacher Tech. By downloading or using Quiz Processing System, you agree to these terms.
Quiz Processing System is a desktop application designed to help teachers and other educational staff process student assessment data.
The software can process PDF files containing student quizzes or assessments, assist with identifying students and extracting scores, allow users to review and correct extracted information, and organize or export results.
Optional Google integration allows an authorized user to connect the application to Google Drive and Google Sheets for purposes such as accessing a teacher-selected gradebook spreadsheet, retrieving roster information, creating or updating spreadsheet data, and managing assessment results.
Quiz Processing System is intended for use by teachers and other authorized educational staff.
Quiz Processing System is currently provided free of charge.
The source code may also be made available through GitHub under the license identified in the project's GitHub repository. Rights to use, copy, modify, or distribute the source code are governed by that open-source license.
Future versions or additional services may have different features, terms, or pricing. Any such changes will not retroactively impose charges for versions of the software that were provided free of charge.
Quiz Processing System is designed primarily as locally running desktop software.
Users are responsible for ensuring that they have appropriate authorization to access and process any student information, assessments, rosters, grades, or other educational records used with the software.
Automated extraction, optical character recognition, name matching, score detection, and similar processes can make mistakes. Users are responsible for reviewing and verifying results before grades or other information are entered into an official gradebook or otherwise relied upon.
Quiz Processing System should be treated as a tool to assist educators, not as an authoritative source of student grades or records.
Quiz Processing System may provide optional integration with Google services, including Google Drive and Google Sheets.
When a user authorizes Google access, the application uses Google's OAuth authorization system. The application is designed to access files selected or authorized by the user for use with Quiz Processing System.
Users remain responsible for their Google accounts, Google Sheets, and the information stored within them.
Use of Google services is also subject to Google's applicable terms, policies, and privacy practices. Google services are provided by Google and are not operated or controlled by Kevin's Teacher Tech or Quiz Processing System.
Google may modify, restrict, interrupt, or discontinue its services or APIs. Quiz Processing System cannot guarantee continued compatibility with Google services.
Quiz Processing System is intended to assist authorized educators in working with information they are already permitted to access.
Users are responsible for complying with their school, district, employer, and applicable legal requirements concerning student information and educational records.
Users should not use Quiz Processing System to access, process, or modify student information they are not authorized to handle.

Quiz Processing System may interact with or provide links to third-party software and services, including Google Drive, Google Sheets, GitHub, and other software components used by the application.
Those products and services are governed by their respective providers' terms and policies.
Kevin's Teacher Tech is not responsible for the availability, operation, security, policies, or actions of third-party services.
Quiz Processing System may be updated, modified, renamed, or discontinued at any time.
Users who have previously downloaded a version of the software may be able to continue using that version. However, continued functionality is not guaranteed, particularly when functionality depends on third-party services or APIs.
There is no guarantee that updates, technical support, compatibility fixes, or new versions will continue to be provided.
Quiz Processing System is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
There is no guarantee that the software will be error-free, uninterrupted, accurate, compatible with every computer or school system, or suitable for any particular educational or administrative purpose.
In particular, no guarantee is made regarding the accuracy of automated student-name recognition, score extraction, roster matching, grade calculations, spreadsheet updates, or other automated processing.
Users should verify important information independently.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Kevin's Teacher Tech and the developer of Quiz Processing System will not be liable for losses or damages resulting from use of or inability to use the software, including incorrect grades, lost or corrupted data, interrupted access to third-party services, or errors in automated processing.
Users are responsible for maintaining appropriate copies or backups of important educational records and for verifying information before making consequential changes to official records.
You may not use Quiz Processing System to intentionally access information without authorization, interfere with third-party systems, violate applicable law, or infringe the rights of others.
Use of the software must comply with applicable school or district policies and any requirements governing the user's access to student information.
These Terms may be updated from time to time to reflect changes to Quiz Processing System, its integrations, or applicable requirements.
The current version of these Terms will be published on the Kevin's Teacher Tech website with its effective or last-updated date.
Continued use of subsequently released versions of Quiz Processing System may be subject to the then-current Terms.
